How brands are using Instagram's new long-form video feature
Last week, Instagram launched IGTV, a long-form video section within their app. While most brands are repurposing content they might otherwise use for Instagram Stories, some companies are creating entirely new content for the channel. For now, the platform won't be showing ads, but a spokesperson said this might change in the future. Advertisers are already anticipating a way to create paid content for brands.
Autoplay video ads are coming to Messenger
The social network confirmed that the same autoplay video ads that have been available for Facebook’s News Feed and Instagram are now available on its messaging application for all advertisers. Those ads will appear in the sponsored portion of the app’s main feed, and people aren’t happy.
